Sportswear & Uniforms

Sublimation is ideal for printing patterns on sportswear and uniforms because the ink does not sit on top of the fabric. The sublimation ink line is used to print on polyester and polyamide (lycra, nylon) fabrics. These are common fabrics which are used for sports apparel and outerwear along with mixed synthetic fabrics with a minimum 60% synthetic fibers.

Textile Apparel

Dye-sublimation printing is a digital printing technology. It is used to print on polyester or other synthetic fabrics. Using specially formulated inks. The images are initially printed on coated heat-resistant transfer paper as a reverse image of the final design, which is then transferred onto polyester fabric in a heat press operating at a temperature around 180 to 210 C.

Printed Fabric

Sublimation printing can print any digital design into a wide variety of fabrics for an even wider variety of uses. They include polyacrylonitrile (Orlon and Acrilon brand names), acrylic (same brand names as previous), nylon (not printable with dye sublimation, though), polyethylene terephthalate (polyester), spandex, and a couple others.
